Different application methods

Hand filling
Hand filling is the traditional method and is effective when you have to apply and smooth the filler on small and medium-sized areas. Here different putty knives are used in different sizes. There are also special tools to get behind radiators or to apply filler easily to corners.
Roller filling
Using a roller to apply filler quickly and easily to the substrate is both ergonomic and economical. Time studies show that you save 30–40% in working time compared with traditional hand filling. Choose a product that is suitable for roller filling. Use a special roller specifically for roller filling.
Spray filling
Spray filling is the most-used method for larger areas and by far the fastest method of applying filler to the substrate. With the right mechanical equipment and the right filler, you can apply filler to as much as 1,000 square metres a day.
Spray filling on ceilings – texturing
A method used primarily on ceilings in new production, a fast and relatively cheap solution. Texturing is performed using a Airless machine, applying the filler to the ceiling in circular movements to achieve a surface with a fine structure.
Applying filler with Automatic Taping Tools
The bazooka is a combi tool used to apply both filler and paper tape simultaneously to a plasterboard joints. There is a manual bazooka in which a hand pump is used to fill the tool with filler. There are also versions that you connect to an Airless machine to achieve better efficiency.
Applying filler with a finishing box
The finishing box is a tool intended for joint filling of plaster joints. There are both manual boxes where you use a hand pump to fill the box with filler, but there are also boxes that you connect to an Airless machine to achieve higher capacity. You then draw the actual box along the plasterboard joint, and the result is often extremely good with minimal sanding.
Installing beads using the Hopper
The Hopper is a tool for the fast and convenient application of filler to corner beads before installation, increasing capacity considerably.
