New! New Joint Tape factory in Sweden

In autumn 2024, we’re opening our brand-new factory in Örebro, Sweden. This is where we’ll be producing the Joint Tape for the European market. 
 
Scanspac has taken over production of Marco Joint Tape from the US company CertainTeed. To be able to provide the best possible service to our Nordic and European customers, we’ve based production in Sweden.

 

Reduced CO2 footprint, faster innovation, and shorter lead times
Having production based in Sweden, closer to the market, improves the CO2 footprint through shorter and more efficient transport operations. In-house production means we can increase the rate of innovation by influencing the raw materials, packaging, and performance of the product. Lead times are also reduced from around three months to approximately one to two weeks.
 
New machinery and trained staff
The new building is in the Ekeby-Almby district of Örebro, covers 2,500 square metres and houses production, warehouse, and offices. Machinery and equipment have been shipped over from the USA and installed in the factory. All staff have received training in the USA.
 
Important step towards the goal
The Joint Tape will be manufactured both under our own brand and for Private Label customers. This makes Scanspac the only manufacturer in Europe of Joint tape. The factory is an important step for us in becoming the leader in Europe for WRM (Wet Ready Mix) products and accessories.
